Dr. Laura Korb is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 16 years of experience in neurodevelopmental and general adult psychiatry. She specialises in ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, and complex presentations that don't fit neatly into a single diagnosis.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, offering clear assessments and personalised treatment plans. Alongside her private practice at The Ellesmere Clinic in Barnet, she holds a substantive NHS role and remains active in teaching, research, and College examining.
She is recognised nationally for her leadership contributions to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, including her role as deputy editor of the RCPsych position statement on ADHD (CR230, 2021).

Dr. Korb offers specialist assessment and treatment across the following areas, drawing on her NHS experience and ongoing engagement with national clinical guidelines.
Dr. Korb has deep specialist expertise in ADHD and autism spectrum conditions in adults. She is trained in the gold-standard ADOS-2 and ADI-R diagnostic instruments and has contributed to national clinical guidance as deputy editor of the RCPsych position statement on ADHD. Her assessments are thorough, evidence-based and delivered with clarity.
With 16+ years of clinical experience, Dr. Korb offers comprehensive assessment and management for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions and complex presentations. Her holistic, trauma-informed approach ensures every patient feels heard and respected throughout their care.
Dr. Korb is formally trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the first-line evidence-based treatment for chronic sleep disorders. She co-authored the sleep chapter of the Frith Prescribing Guidelines, a widely used NHS resource, bringing academic rigour to her clinical sleep consultations.
Dr. Korb has experience prescribing medical cannabis and can help patients understand whether it may be suitable for their needs. She does not currently prescribe at Ellesmere Clinic but can work alongside specialist prescribers and direct patients to trusted services when needed.
